Milwaukee Community Archives Day

  • Wisconsin Black Historical Society/Museum 2620 West Center Street Milwaukee, WI, 53206 United States (map)

Bring your family collections of photographs, letters, keepsakes for assistance preserving them and learn how to digitize them (with free scans of up to 20 of your items). We are building a community collection for Northside Milwaukee and Metcalfe Park and you may share your saved materials or just your stories and memories with us to add to the collection. You are also welcome to use the day for your own personal or family purposes to learn about archiving and get help with your own collection, even if you don’t want copies of your materials to be included in the community archive.

Hot brunch will be served and professional archivists on hand to offer guidance and answer questions.

Free admission. But RSVP encouraged to reserve a spot.

The event is so-sponsored by Metcalfe Park Community Bridges, the Wisconsin Black Historical Society, the Whose Land? Project, the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, and Wisconsin Humanities.
